For years, the Kardashian family has basically rocked every beauty look that has ever existed: ...... Or so we thought. But in a new (but totally unexpected) development, Khloe Kardashian is proving that there is something fresh to look at. What is it?

No, it's not a new lipstick (although I'm hoping Kylie Cosmetics whips up a similar color). Kardashian's new pout is actually the work of artist Lillian Shalom, the "surrealist gold-plated lip" she wore for her new photo shoot. Made of gold-plated silver, the big, smoldering lips feature a "little platform for biting inward," according to the brand. The metallic pout was complemented by a gold ring (also by Lillian Shalom) and an equally heavy-metal gold-chrome stiletto manicure.

The look grew out of a photo shoot with tmrw magazine, which recently published a 100-page zine dedicated to the Good American co-founder. Iconic without context, the lip pays homage to Kardashian's stunning pout.

"F--K YEA ROCKING MY RINGS N LIPS XXX," the jewelry designer commented on tmrw's post. Meanwhile, Kardashian shared the image on her social media channels, adding several black heart emojis.

Lip only made one appearance, but Kardashian wore the same manicure throughout the event. The long, metallic nails were the work of celebrity nail artist Chone Legend. He called the shoot his favorite "so far" in an Instagram post, poking fun at the 39-year-old's decision to deviate from her signature mani.
